Aged Care Barrier Washer Upgrade
A barrier washer extractor supplied and installed in an aged care laundry that remained in daily operation throughout the works.
Customer challenge
The laundry could not stop. Staff still had to process resident linen every day while a large barrier washer was brought in and installed, so access, timing and safety all had to be managed around an active work area.
Laundry Innovations solution
Laundry Innovations staged the installation in planned steps, keeping walkways and machine access clear for the laundry team at all times. The barrier washer was manoeuvred into position safely, set into the wall line, connected and commissioned, with functional checks and operator familiarisation completed before handover.
Project outcome
The facility now has a modern barrier washer supporting sound infection-control practice, installed properly and without compromising safety or daily output. Staff were very pleased with the result and are looking forward to further upgrades.
