Aged Care Barrier and Dryer Installation
Several new barrier washer extractors and commercial dryers supplied, delivered and installed in an aged care laundry, completed through exceptionally tight access.
Customer challenge
The aged care laundry needed a modern, hygienic barrier setup to support consistent infection-control practice and dependable day-to-day processing. The practical difficulty was getting the equipment in: access to the laundry was exceptionally tight, with narrow openings and limited room to manoeuvre large machines once inside.
Laundry Innovations solution
Laundry Innovations planned the delivery and installation around the access constraints before anything arrived on site. Large equipment was carefully manoeuvred through narrow spaces using planned lifting and handling methods, including craning a dryer into position and moving machines through a doorway on carefully controlled handling gear. Barrier washers were set into the wall line, connected and commissioned, with dryers positioned alongside for a clean, logical workflow. Functional checks and operator familiarisation completed the handover.
Project outcome
The finished laundry is a modern, reliable and hygienic setup with a clear separation between soiled and clean sides. The machines look excellent in the space, the workflow is straightforward for staff, and the facility now has equipment suited to its long-term needs.

The customer team were amazing people to work with. Communication and coordination throughout the project were excellent, which made a genuinely difficult access job run smoothly. The customer was very pleased with the installation and the finished result.
